Stop Boris! Vote Ken!

12:32 AM 1

Political Quote is urging the Irish in London to vote for Ken.

  1. Ken Livingstone has been a great friend to the Irish in London ever since the 1980s when he promoted talks with Sinn Fein.
  2. Ken Livingstone took a special interest in Irish Labourers in London and stood up for us when the Tabloid media were painting us all as terrorists (ring any bells today?)
  3. Ken Livingstone is a driving force behind the St Patrick's Day parade in London. Can you see Boris Johnson celebrating it?

I like Boris Johnson, he is an entertainer, he is not Mayoral material.

Stop Boris, Vote Ken.

Is this how Brian Cowen is going to end up?

11:29 PM 1

Is this how Brian Cowen is going to end up? If he doesn't get rid of Bertie he could be left like Donitz with the fall of the FF Reich. The country in pieces and all that's left to Brian is to preside over FF's defeat!

Leave the GPO alone

1:55 PM 1

Leave the GPO alone. It is a beautiful functional building but Bertie and the boys want to make it into a museum and have future Presidents inaugurated there.

The GPO currently is rebuilt the same as it was before the rising and already serves a focal point in our nation's history and it commemorates the rising and it functions as a Post Office still.

Join me in opposing such a stupid move.

Jimmy Devins TD is a disgrace

4:30 PM 1
Minister of State for Health Jimmy Devins from Sligo is a disgrace.

He joins Beverly Cooper-Flynn and Dara Caleary in Mayo in terms of their hypocracy over cancer care in the West.

Jimmy Devins joined thousands of protesters at a silent candlelit vigil outside Sligo General Hospital last night to express his support for the campaign to retain cancer services there.

The man is a Junior Minister and he is protesting over his own health program. The man is a two faced disgrace.

He does not have the guts to resign his ministry or his whip in protest, instead he wants to play it both ways.

He is a disgrace. If you are serious about cancer care in the West do not vote for Devins. E-mail him your disgust at info@jimmydevins.ie

Tell him what you think.

Quote of the Day.

5:55 PM 1
"There are signs that we are increasingly displaying a selfishness, an impatience and, even, an arrogance that runs against the very grain of the humanity and decency that we as a nation have always prided ourselves on."

Minature Minister Seamus Brennan on the Irish People in 2008.

Surely Brennan is talking about Fianna Fail in Government? He has to be!

Quote of the week "It was not an easy pursuit"

4:48 PM 1
German police are trying to trace the owner of a sheep which outran police patrol cars and assaulted a police dog.
Police say the sheep ran through the streets of the German village of Guester at more than 48km/h. It reportedly leapt over the bonnets of police cars used as a road block and chased pursuing police dogs with a few well-aimed head butts.
Officers eventually caught up with it after it jumped into a field and started tucking into the grass.
"It was not an easy pursuit," said a police spokesman.

It has to be a Connemara sheep!

Cowen opens Revenue Museum in crypt at Dublin Castle

10:58 AM 1
Why wasn't Bertie there?

Was he out looking for files that will one day be exhibited there in the museum?

Or was he afraid the Commissioners would clap him in irons and leave him there till he told the truth.

Or was it the fact that he just could not face Dublin Castle again without being compelled in law?
