Is Jade a racist?
Jade Goody, unaware of the controversy brewing around her, continued to make allegedly racist comments - calling her housemate Shilpa "Poppadom".
In scenes shown on Channel 4, Jade was asked to explain the nickname she used for the Bollywood star.
She said that while talking to Danielle she wanted to use an Indian name and the only word she could think of was an Indian food.

NO!Jade goody is not being racist towards shilpa this again is political correctness gone mad.This is a clash of class and personalities.There have been many clashes of personalites in past bb but none have ever caused this kind of global outrage.The reasons? Shipa is a huge bollywood star and has a massive following in the indian community in this country and that community cried racism almost immediately. Why is this not just seen as two people who do not like each other as has happened with many previous bb housemates.To hear that jade has got to have tight security for at least a week after coming out for fear of reprisals is appalling. Her perfume that she worked hard for is being taken off the shelves her career will b almost destroyed and 4 what? the fact that she has got to have protection obviously from shilpa supporters tells us alot about the people who will b voting jade out!COME ON JADE SUPPORTERS VOTE TO KEEP HER IN LETS NOT B A PART OF THIS SENSATIONALISM.!!!!
I'm with the previous commenter, this is a witch hunt. And watch the witch hunters become the bullies they so detest... laughable.
It is racism, and it's deplorable.
It seems strange that most Britons are so slow to condemn Jade, yet they're normally so quick to assume the guilt of suspected murders, paedophiles, burglars etc...

I feel that though she may have been wrong to try and call Shilpa an Indian name for political reasons, Jade is not rascist. She lost her temper and, as we saw, was disgusted with herself for having let it get that far.(However far people think it was).Apart from this, "Poppadom" is hardly a cutting remark.
This is completely idiotic, what racism. I thought political correctness had become horrible in america, but apparently it cant hold a candle to the insanity of british political correctness.
When i first heard about this I assumed goody was guilty of being totally horrible, but after actually watching the clip on youtube i was dumbfounded.
Anyone who claims this is racist is far dumber than Jade Goody
